From Archicad to Autocad

I'm still a rookie in Autocad, as we startet to learn the program this autumn. We've been drawing in 2D, but we're starting in 3D this month. Before I arrived Dublin, we've worked on Archicad, by Graphisoft, which I still like alot. Archicad is easy to learn, but when it comes to detailworking, it takes a good year with work to actually accomplish an acceptable rendering. The cons with Archicad, is that you have to render in the program, while in Autocad, you can drag over to 3D max and work with VRay, which gives good illustrations.

Pictures below shows rendering I've done in Archicad. It's from an assignment back to Kristiansand, Norway. Where I'm designing a Designers Guild-store with Ralph Lauren exhibition.

Pictures below shows an assigment where me and interiordesigner Lene T. designed an exhibition for Montana, a danish design company.

Next up is hotel-assignment. Concept: African Modern Systematics. A really fun project, but the rendering is poor.

Just to start a funny finish..xoxo

Hello to you and even myself!

This blog is related to students, interior architecture, designers and even those with cad-hobbies! My blog will hopefully show a development during the year at Griffith College Dublin.

You will be see developments in Autocad Architecture, 3D Max and Scetch Up Pro (all three from Autodesk).
I also have 2 years of experience in Archicad by Graphisoft, so hopefully, I'll be able to work in both programs and compare as Autodesk vs Archicad.

Let's start with a cleen sheet!!
